Hi! I haven't posted in a while because we have been very busy since we got back from our big trip, but I have been cooking a lot. I made a $300 chocolate cake for the fair here, and I won 1st place! I also made Thai chicken wraps from Ree's cookbook:
this is the only picture that I took, probably because I was distracted while making them. they had to marinate for a while. I squeezed lime juice into the marinade, and then put the halves in the bowl while the chicken marinated. then I had to make a delicious peanut butter sauce out of chunky peanut butter. the whole meal was so good.
then on Saturday I made Orange-vanilla monkey bread:I cut up three cans of biscuits first, and nearly scared myself half to death in the process, zested two oranges and scraped myself, spilled sugar all over the counter when I shook the biscuits with the orange zest and the sugar, and spilled the sauce all over the counter when I poured it over the biscuits. they were in the pan by that time, but I used the round pan in the picture above, and the biscuits were like a dome mountain. and the liquid spilled in the oven. it was not a pleasant baking experience, but it was way worth it in the end. the bread is so good. if I make it again I might make it without the orange, because it's not my favorite flavor, but other than that it is so good! I am also writing a letter to Ree to tell her that I am doing this. I hope she reads my blog. that would be so awesome!
I have to find out what her address is, and then I will send my letter to her!
Goodbye for now! ☺
Sounds delicious! Glad you didn’t let a few spills take away the joy of the experience. Keep up the good work!!
